Final Assignment/Post: Your Manifesto

When looking through past assignments that I had completed throughout this course, it showed quite a bit about all types of art, old, new, and anything in the world. There is art everywhere in the world and anything can be considered art these days, whether they are physical, electronic, or from different places in the world. Such things as music, abstract art, digital art, and much more are things that I used during my time in class and there are much more types of art that are shown within the world. Out of the assignments that were completed, the "Module 9 Assignment: Photographer's Eye". This assignment was more interesting than what I originally viewed it as. I was told that I wasn't supposed to use certain pictures to talk about and I decided to change up the traditional thought of what the assignment was for and used it in a more personal and something that I really like doing. I decided to use video games and the art and designs that I made to have as pictures for my assignment, with varied designs and sizes of work. I used these to give thought and detail to what I said and gave some insight and story within them. Such as housing, temples, and just something that I would see in my everyday life (though it was just a small kitchen design).
Though it probably wasn't something a typical person would do or show off for an assignment, I still used some of the things that I created with good intention to show off how digital art, though new and used a lot now, can be in my own perspective. Digital art does definitely have more than infinite different ways of showing off itself, whether it is from the artist itself, computer-generated, made with a group of people, or a team. I personally love digital art or the creation of things within those games which was really nice and interesting to work and see what people can make and create. The same goes for music nowadays, it is a lot of trial and error when creating newer music, whether it is the vocals/lyrics or even the beats of the music that a composer has to use. With time, music has drastically changed over time with how the types of music evolved and grown, like how rock has changed, country, jazz, newer types like EDM (Electronic Dance Music), etc. A good example of this would be the assignment, "Module 6 Assignment: Your Musical Theme". In this assignment, we had to choose our favorite songs from certain periods around the mid-1900s to the late 1900s. There was quite a big difference in the songs that I saw during the 1940s to the 1990s, with differences in audio, lyrics, etc.

There is also more to art than just music and such, there is poetic art and things called Ekphrasis, which is a more clear emphasis on the viewing of art and such. They are easy to come up with since it is something that you can come up with visualization. In our last assignment, "Module 14 Assignment: Ekphrasis" we had to choose an art piece from our textbook and I choose "The Creation Of Adam" by Michelangelo. This masterpiece was about the creation of man by God and I had to make an Ekphrasis on this panting. My Ekphrasis was,

"Man and god are close
 A touch away
With their figures similar, their fixation on each other is high
As man is interested in god
 God is interested in man
God gave life to man and placed him on Earth
As man does God's work with time".

In my opinion, I thought my Ekphrasis was pretty accurate in the painting, it showed a good representation of my view of the painting.

Overall, there are a lot of different types of art that are in our world, and what I had shared is only just a small portion of what types of art are in the world. Though I only showed a few parts of art that I do thoroughly enjoy, there are plenty of different and more diverse types of art that anyone can get into anywhere in the world. Whether that is painting, making a comic book, you name it, it all is considered to be art even if you like that type or not. I loved getting to know more about art from all different types of prospectives and getting to have my opinion on them through these Blogposts.
