Module/Blog 11 Assignment: Anatomy of a Scene
Drama When looking at the films given to me, one that stuck out was the film, "Freaks" Directed by Tod Browning. When viewing this film, it did give off an eerie yet circus feeling to it when I started watching it. Hans was an interesting character that fell for Cleopatra, another circus artist/entertainer, instead of his fiancee, Frieda. Cleopatra, who learns of Hans's mass wealth and decides that she wants to marry him and get someone, Hercules, to kill the little person for the inheritance that she could gain for his death. Since she did marry Hans and after some time Hans fell ill and Cleopatra is trying to poison him. A lot of plot and action went on with this film and did give off an older feeling since this was a 20th-century film. Though it was a little confusing to listen through and to more clearly understand, Cleopatra paid a great price for trying to seduce and take Hans's life away.
